The spookiest season of the year is here. Scooping out pumpkins, playing bobbing for apples and going trick or treating. There is something about Halloween that brings us all back to our childhood.
Here at Slate House we\u2019ve got some incredibly wicked mugs, Welsh slate hanging signs and grazing platters to help make your ghostly gatherings totally spooktacular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each grazing platter is individually hand cut allowing for a natural and completely unique finish – no two trays will be exactly the same. Each grazing platter is designed and engraved by our in-house team exclusively for Slate House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween Traditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do you have any Halloween traditions with your family? Why not try pumpkin picking? There are lots of places around the UK to do this fun activity with your family. We took our troops to the local pumpkin picking farm at Penyfodau Farm<\/a> in Gorseinon, Swansea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-Alcoholic Mulled Cider Punch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Quench your (blood) thirsty appetite with this no alcohol fun fruity and warm punch the whole family can enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients<\/strong>:
3 pints of apple juice
3 apples
Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks
Zest of 1 large orange
Method:<\/strong>
Stud the apples with around 2-4 cloves.
Add juice, apples, cinnamon sticks and the orange zest in to a large pan.
Simmer gently on a low setting for approximately 30 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil.
Serve with some fresh apple slices and perhaps a stick of cinnamon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This warming and comforting drink only takes 10 minutes to create. Totally worth it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"White<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2 tbsp pumpkin puree (you can buy this in cans in supermarkets)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinch of ground nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 tbsp vanilla extract<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30ml strong coffee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

250ml of any milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whipped cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a saucepan add the milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract and spices. Whisk and heat to make a hot \u2018pumpkin milk\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add your strong coffee, mix and serve in to mugs. To serve top with whipped cream. Sprinkle some \u2018pumpkin spice\u2019 or ground cinnamon over the cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for a stronger pumpkin flavour then add a couple more tbsp of pumpkin puree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BOO!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We love this ghost face ceramic mug. Perfect for filling with candy or seasonal drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Why not treat yourself to a decadent hot chocolate this Halloween?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 pints of whole milk
300ml double cream
200g of dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
150g of milk chocolate chips (or chopped milk chocolate)
To serve : whipped or squirty cream, mini marshmallows & grated chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set your slow cooker to low and add the milk, cream and dark & milk chocolate.
Cover with the lid and cook on low for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
After 2 hours remove the lid and cook for a further 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Serve with your choice of toppings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
